ADULT
SESSION at NATURE CAMP
Nature
Camp is not just for kids. We also have a session for adults.
"Shapes and Patterns in Nature" |
June 11-15, 2010 |
Join us for an exciting environmental education experience in the cool green mountains of the George Washington National Forest of Virginia. The three-day session features classroom
lectures, field studies and craft projects. Classes are typically one or two hours in duration with most of the time spent outdoors or in hands-on activities. Structure is informal, with questions and input from other instructors and attendees encouraged.
Our volunteer instructors, many of whom are former campers and now professionals in the sciences, will tell us about the basic processes that control natural forms, from the crystal structure of snowflakes to the logarithmic spiral in sea shells to the branching pattern of river valleys.
